About Jewelry Olga

I was born and raised in Russia, where the appreciation of jewelry is a part of our culture. Growing up surrounded by stories, fairy tales, and legends about gemstones, I developed a lifelong fascination with the beauty and meaning behind jewelry.

Russia is rich in precious gemstones and minerals, and jewelry there has never been reserved only for the wealthy.  Jewelry, including pearl jewelry, has always been an essential part of “dressing well” for everyone.

In 2001, I moved from Moscow to Montreal and began formal studies in gemology, fine jewelry history, and design. I hold an FGA Diploma in Gemology from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and a Certified Gem and Jewelry Appraiser Diploma from École de Gemmologie de Montréal.

What began as a passionate hobby became a business in 2009, when I founded Jewelry Olga.  Today, I am a well-known jewelry designer in Montreal specializing in contemporary designer pearl jewelry.    

Why Pearls?

Pearls are called “the queen of gems and the gem of queens” for a reason. They radiate elegance, dignity, and timeless beauty. Today, cultured pearls come in an incredible variety of colors, shapes, and textures, each with its unique charm.

Our mission is to create original, stylish pearl jewelry for modern women. Each piece is unique, with a design that both highlights the natural beauty of pearls and offers something unexpected and fresh. Our Style

I select high-quality cultured freshwater pearls.  Sometimes these pearls are perfectly round, delightfully irregular, shaped like blossoms, stars, or even teddy bears! Our pearl jewelry collections range from refined and classic to playful and modern.  Often, we blend freshwater  pearls with semi-precious gemstones such as amethyst, peridot, malachite, and apatite.

We use fine metals and contemporary details to give our modern pearl jewelry a fresh edge. Some designs are transformable, allowing you to re-style your jewelry for different occasions.  Wearing pearl jewelry should be as creative as you are.
